Weight Loss and Personal Trainers | Help From GTME
We strongly believe that a personal trainer is the best way to help everyone suffering obesity to free themselves
Weight loss is one of the biggest problems facing many young people today and the difficulty is now so common that lots of schools and community centres run special classes to help with improving self-image and eliminating feelings that force people to over-eat and neglect their opportunities to exercise. Part of the issue is that people struggle with their feelings when approaching a gym or one-to-one session, and this is a situation where group training can really make a difference. The social interaction offered by GTME can help break the ice by giving those who are considering attending the help they need. Help such as communicating with the trainer in advance by text or chat, so that they know what to expect upon arrival, rather than them being put off by feelings of isolation.
It is official that we now top the European obesity league, with alcohol contributing a huge amount to the problem. The most recent surveys conducted as of 2013 show the following:
Of course, there are many contributing factors such as our current lifestyle conveniences – you can sit in your chair at home and order a machine online that carries you to work – computers, tablets, smartphones, desk-bound jobs and high calorie foods. On top of all of this, exercise is being neglected. Fitness seems to be being divided like wealth, a smaller and smaller group of us are becoming fitter and fitter whilst everyone else is letting themselves go.
It is not unreasonable to say that obesity is the biggest health crisis in the UK today, which when you consider how many problems there are with heavy smoking, binge-drinking and homelessness, puts the gravity of this problem into perspective.
Obesity levels in the UK have more than trebled in the previous 30 years which rings alarming bells for the future of our health and our health system. Have we really been permanently affected by American culture to the extent that we are being hypnotised into adopting their diet? These are all questions currently bouncing around the chat rooms of the world on the subject of obesity, and they are questions that need answering soon.
The UK is now officially the fat centre of Europe and is easting the least fresh food per head. We have officially become an obese island as being fat measured by BFI is now the national average. Overweight children are more likely to be obese in later life than children who were average or below-average weight.
All of these problems are born of lack of activity and lack of mental health as well as physical health. Those of us who really enjoy their food and cook and eat a lot tend to be happy-portly, but the new trend is for miserable overweight people who are eating when in distress. Children born in poorer areas are far more likely to be obese and much of this is to do with being deprived of activity or opportunity. Getting together with like-minded people who want to improve themselves is a step towards ending the oppression of obesity and we want to help people make that difference.
